Cookie Policy
Last updated: 08/14/2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that this website, novuhomeco.com (owned by Novu), stores in your browser when you visit. They serve to remember your preferences, keep your session active, understand how you use the website, and, where applicable, show you relevant advertising.
2. Types of cookies we use
Technical or necessary cookies. Essential for the basic operation of the store: maintaining the contents of your cart, managing your session, remembering your language or currency, and guaranteeing the security of the purchase process. They do not require your consent because the store cannot function without them. As it is built on Shopify, this store necessarily uses the platform's own cookies, including:
| Cookie | Purpose | Approximate duration |
|---|---|---|
cart |
Remember the contents of your cart | 14 days |
_secure_session_id |
Shopping session management | Session |
_shopify_y |
Unique visitor identifier for platform analysis | 1 year |
_shopify_s |
Platform session identifier | Session |
_tracking_consent |
Remember your cookie consent preferences | 1 year |
localization |
Remember the selected country/language | Session |
Analytics cookies (require your consent). These allow us to understand how you browse the store in an aggregated and anonymous way, to improve the shopping experience. For example, if you have Google Analytics 4 active, cookies such as _ga, _ga_[ID], and _gid are installed, with a duration of up to 2 years.
Marketing and advertising cookies (require your consent). These are used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and, where applicable, show you Novu ads on other websites or social networks. For example, the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) installs cookies such as _fbp and _fbc, with a duration of up to 90 days.
3. Legal basis and consent
In accordance with Article 22.2 of the LSSICE and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), non-essential cookies are only installed if you give us your prior, express, and informed consent through the cookie settings panel that appears on your first visit. You can accept all, reject all (except technical ones), or configure your preferences by category.
4. How can you manage or withdraw your consent?
- From the website itself: you can modify your cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link available in the footer.
- From your browser: you can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking technical cookies may prevent the store from functioning correctly (for example, the cart may not remember your products).
5. Third-party cookies
Some of the cookies installed may belong to external providers (e.g., Google, Meta, or Shopify) whose data processing is governed by their own privacy policies, independent of Novu:
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to adapt it to new legislation or changes in the tools we use. We recommend that you review it periodically.
